Pricing: an itemised quote, line by line
The price of moving a pet depends on the route, your pet's size, how it travels and what both countries require. Rather than a headline rate that would match no real case, we quote with our fees separated from each third-party cost.
What a quote contains
| Item | What it covers | Who charges it |
|---|---|---|
| Pawgeot fees | Rule checks, timeline, document preparation and review, booking, coordination until arrival, client portal | Pawgeot |
| Vet | Consultations, microchip, vaccines, blood sample, treatments, certificates | Your vet |
| Laboratory | Rabies antibody titre test, where the country requires it | The approved laboratory |
| Official formalities | Certificate endorsement, import permits, arrival inspection, any quarantine | The authorities concerned, at their published rates |
| Air transport | Cabin, hold or cargo, depending on the airline and the country | The airline (and, for cargo, the freight forwarder) |
| Crate | A crate that meets the airline's requirements | The supplier |
| Ground services | Road transport, airport assistance, clearance, depending on the country | Our partners, subject to availability |
Some third-party costs are paid by you directly (the vet, for instance); others can go through us. The quote says which, line by line. Third-party amounts are estimates on the day of the quote: if an airline or authority changes its rate, we tell you before anything is spent.
What makes the price vary
- The destination. A drive between two EU countries has nothing in common with arriving in Australia (titre test, permit, quarantine, cargo routing to Melbourne).
- Your pet's size. It decides the crate, so the mode of travel and, as cargo, the chargeable weight (actual or volumetric, whichever is higher).
- How your pet travels. Cabin, hold with you, or cargo: each airline sets its own conditions and rates.
- Timing. A tight departure limits flight choices; some periods (heat, holidays) restrict animal transport.
- The number of pets and their breed (snub-nosed breeds, restricted dog types).
- What is already done. A pet that is already microchipped, vaccinated and titre-tested costs less to prepare.

Our commitments on quotes
- Nothing is added without your written agreement.
- Official charges are shown as published by the authority, with their source.
- The quote states what is included and what is not (for example vet fees paid directly to your vet).
- If a routing puts your pet at risk, we tell you, even when it is the cheaper option.
